FISCAL SPONSORSHIP
The Detroit Parks Coalition offers fiscal sponsorship and capacity support for projects or programs supporting healthy, equitable & vibrant parks in Detroit. All sponsored projects must demonstrate alignment with DPC’s mission and values.
TIER 3 – 5% of incoming revenues
DPC receives all grant funds and/or contributions on behalf of sponsored project
DPC holds grant funds and/or contributions and remits to sponsored project
Sponsored project manages all activities, payments, and reporting
DPC sends all required acknowledgments to donors of tax-deductible contributions
DPC administers all funds that sponsored project will use to carry out its activities.
Sponsored project will invoice DPC for payments.
Sponsored project completes all narrative and financial grant reports; DPC submits with required information.
TIER 2 – 7% of incoming revenues
DPC manages payables for sponsored project, including processing payments, collecting application documentation, and tracking expenses
DPC maintains a policy of comprehensive general liability insurance and other insurance, including but not limited to unemployment and worker’s compensation insurance to cover the project activities.
DPC provides project updates to key stakeholders as necessary
TIER 1 – 10% of incoming revenues
DPC provides consulting/advisory services on programs, accounting system implementation, and financial, operational, or governance policies
DPC enters into consultant contracts with and provide fiscal oversight for person(s) who perform work on the project
DPC writes grant reports and administers grant application process
DPC process payroll, income tax withholding and reporting
