Summer in the Parks 2024

Parks are our common grounds. Over the past calendar year, over 2 million people from the entire Southeast Michigan region visited Detroit’s regional parks.

In Summer 2024, DPC invested nearly $1 million to support park programs, capital improvements, and community organizations that care for Detroit’s parks—touching 57 parks throughout the city. Our programs are becoming established and expanding, and we are seeing Detroit’s parks, always community jewels, become more welcoming and lively.
